Vinified with 100% Garnacha from 80 year old vines.
Vinified
The first step is a pre-fermentation cold maceration of 7 days at 10ºC. The fermentation takes place in truncated conical stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 29ºC. After the alcoholic fermentation the wine macerates with the skins for 21 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the tanks.
Crianza
The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. The barrels age do never
exceed 3 years old. During this period the wine is racked 3 times. Finally the wines is aged in bottle for 17 months before being released.
Tasting note
The wine displays and attractive red colour with layers . Bright colour. Clean powerful aromas of ripe red and black fruits with balsamic notes. On the palate one finds spices, toasty hints and mature notes, with a perfectly integrated tannic structure. On the finish the wine is rich, elegant, powerful and fruit driven.
Serving Temperature
between 16 and 18ºC. Decanting is recommended.
