This wine is picked from vineyards in the Hawke’s Bay high country of New Zealand. The soils are ancient river beds with a mix of free draining stony soils and clay loams.
Viticulture and Vinification
Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with two canes pruned providing an average of 11 tonnes per acre. Cool fermented with aging and stirring on lees.
Palate
Off dry to dry style with a succulent and rounded palate. Luscious pear, apple and mango notes with a rich texture and mouth feel, finishing clean and dry.
Colour
Pale straw yellow with light green hues.
Aroma
Gentle alpine floral notes with aromatic pear and honeysuckle.
